Russell Library presents weekly opportunities to network with other job seekers, as well as receive the advice of professionals.  Expert guest speakers focus on the job market and provide industry information.
 
Speakers will present from 10:30 - 11:30 AM
 
The United Labor Agency assists Connecticut Residents with employment services, advocacy and referrals to other services. We assist with safety net services for the unemployed, under employed, and workers. ULA’s Middletown Office is located downtown in Riverview Center, Suite 270, next door to the police department. Participants involved in rehabilitation and employment programs for the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department of Social Services/BRS and Middlesex United Way’s Community Services outreach. Greg Vavrek, Community Services Coordinator, is experienced in the areas of employment counseling and job search assistance. Individuals enrolled in these programs receive individual employment counseling and may sign up to attend group job search workshops. Employment resources available at the office include: Resume preparation, assistance with cover letters, telephone and message centers, internet access and advocacy referrals for health, legal or financial problems.
