Meet Connecticut’s Kid Governor: Ella Briggs In-Person
Throughout September, CTKG Ella is speaking with students and constituents about her Pride-Hope-Love platform and how they can get involved. During Ella's visit, she and the Kid Governor team will discuss her platform, share information on how students in your community can get involved in Connecticut's Kid Governor, and lead a hands-on activity.
Did you attend Middletown’s first Pride event? Right after Ella's presentation we will have markers, colored pencils and oodles of construction paper on hand so you can write a letter telling your stories about what attending Middletown Pride meant to you that we will be sharing with Middletown Pride and the City of Middletown’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee.
2019 Connecticut’s Kid Governor® Ella Briggs was elected on her platform of LGBTQ Youth Safety. Her platform focuses on three platform points to advocate for youth in the LGBTQ community:
- Promote adoptions for LGBTQ Youth who are homeless.
- Train teachers on how to work with LGBTQ Youth.
- Create youth programs for LGBTQ Youth and their allies.
For all ages.
No registration required, but space is limited to the first 75 friends who arrive that day!
This event is presented in partnership with CT Kid Governor.
