(Virtual) Film discussion and LGBTQIA+ Meet up on Zoom Online

Join us on Zoom at this discussion of the short film: "A Place in the Middle." Watch the film anytime before our meeting for free here: https://vimeo.com/121840165 (Runtime: 25 min), and then hang out and check in with the members of the City of Middletown's LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee and your friends at Russell Library.

This zoom discussion is intended for Ages 13 and up.

Eleven year old Ho'onani dreams of leading the hula troupe at her inner-city Honolulu school. The only trouble is that the group is just for boys. She's fortunate that her teacher understands first-hand what it's like to be 'in the middle' - the ancient Hawaiian tradition of embracing both male and female spirit. Together they set out to prove that what matters most is to be true to yourself.

This event is sponsored by Middletown Pride, a collaboration between the City of Middletown Connecticut, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, Wesleyan University, and Russell Library. Check out the website https://middletownpride.org/ for more info!
