Virtual Job and Career Group: Ellen Janpol (Zoom) Online

"Betty White takes a Bow: The Longevity Economy".

Planning for your professional future is preparing for a marathon rather than a sprint.  With careers lasting 7 to 8 decades, you have to be able to pivot quickly to take advantage of opportunities and challenges in order to thrive, not just survive.  How do you do this?  With this talk, you will get a glimpse of what your current and future steps will be.

Ellen Janpol is the former Business Librarian at The Westport Library and The New Haven Free Public Library, as well as the former JETS Program Manager. She graduated from Bard College, and has a Master’s in Library Science from Southern Connecticut, and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is considered an authority on employment-related issues. Currently, she is President of her own consulting firm, Janpol Consulting Services, which focuses on career counseling, resumepreparation, and public speaking.

Russell Library presents weekly opportunities to network with other job seekers, as well as receive the advice of professionals. The focus will be on the job market and provide updated industry information during this uncertain time of COVID19.
