Career Workshop: Gary Gekow, Networking for Jobseekers Online

The Art of Networking

Job fairs, corporate hiring events, Meetups and other online social media platforms are just some of the avenues where people can promote their networking skills. While attending these events and dropping off a resume is a good start, deeper engagement is required in today’s job market. We will discuss networking strategies to better enhance your employment attainment prospects.

Gary Gekow has over 30 years of employment consulting and recruiting experience in the Boston marketplace. He has earned preferred vendor status with many high profile companies including Fidelity Investments and John Hancock. He also works with individuals in the greater Boston area and throughout New England assisting them with job search strategies. This includes resume writing, cover/thank you letter writing, interviewing skills, transitioning into new careers, salary and benefits negotiation, and on-line job search.

Gary graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1984 with a bachelor's of Business Administration in Management.
